Choral Direction

From 2016 to 2018 I was able to give free reign to my choral interests when I formed ‘Vox ensemble’ a small chamber choir of dedicated singers from the Vancouver Island area. Details of our programs can be found at the ‘Vox ensemble’ category link on the side bar.

We specialized in sacred and secular music, spanning the Medieval, Renaissance and Classical periods through to today. Rehearsals were minimal and concentrated, with reliance on good sight-reading, dedicated musicianship and homework! At all times, our aim was to capture the ‘spirit’ of the music by offering fresh and informed performances. Proceeds from our concerts went to various charities.
